Consumer Research Shows Health Continues to Drive the Purchasing Agenda
A recent consumer survey, commissioned by the market research company FMCG Gurus on behalf of BENEO, reveals that health is now considered so important that almost every second respondent in Europe is prepared to pay a premium for food and drink products that provide a health benefit . This trend is most prominent amongst the younger generation with 54% of those aged 18-24 willing to spend more on healthy foods. With health driving purchase decisions, a big opportunity exists for manufacturers to tap into this trend by developing great tasting products with added nutritional credentials.
